{"id":133228,"date":"2015-05-10T01:57:45","date_gmt":"2015-05-10T01:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/05\/10\/nayo-appeals-to-law-enforcement-agencies\/"},"modified":"2015-05-10T01:57:45","modified_gmt":"2015-05-10T01:57:45","slug":"nayo-appeals-to-law-enforcement-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/05\/10\/nayo-appeals-to-law-enforcement-agencies\/","title":{"rendered":"NAYO appeals to law enforcement agencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Norther Angami Youth Organisation (NAYO) has reiterated its earlier appeal on law enforcement agencies in Kohima, to be restrained in public places during counter-insurgency operations in the aftermath of various shooting incidents and spate of bombings in the state capital as well as across the state. <br \/>\nIn a statement NAYO president Peter Rutsa&nbsp; said&nbsp;&nbsp; the \u201cbreakdown of cease fire\u201d between NSCN(K) and government of India,has gripped&nbsp; the citizens of Kohima\u2019s urban and rural areas&nbsp;&nbsp; with gloom and apprehension. <br \/>\nNAYO&nbsp; said the situation was further aggravated by the shooting on unarmed&nbsp; Assam Rifles personnel at IG stadium and killing of another AR personnel near Classic Island in total disregard to public safety. <br \/>\nStating it was not competent to comment on factors for abrogation of ceasefire and the subsequent resurgence of armed conflict, NAYO said its fervent prayer and that of the community it represented,&nbsp; was for permanent peace and restoration of normalcy at the earliest. <br \/>\nNAYO asserted that all armed personnel immediately cease confrontation with each other \u201cunder the shield of civilians, by all means without excuses\u201d. It also acknowledged the \u201ccontrol displayed\u201d by the Assam Rifles on May 8 when two Nagas reportedly from the NSCN(K) were apprehended with firearms and explosive device at the PHQ junctioin during rush hour without use of \u201clethal force\u201d.<br \/>\nIt urged central paramilitary and state police forces to continue exhibiting \u201csuch pro-civilian operational ethics in the days to come\u201d. <br \/>\nFurther, NAYO and its constituent villages reaffirmed support to \u201cevery decision\u201d taken by Angami Youth Organisation(AYO) to uphold peace and tranquillity under its jurisdiction.
