In a press release, EVC secretary Khevishe Zhimomi and G.B. Akashe Zhimo informed that this was initiated in compliance with DC Dimapur order dated May 5. Further, EVC informed that as per the directive from power department, it would continue to check all the illegal hooking with or without meterbox within the village jurisdiction. It warned that defaulters would be fined heavily on the spot and their power connection cut off permanently.
