Parliamentary Secretary for school education Yitachu said Nagaland \u201chas too many problems. If we start to talk of the issues; there are just too many issues\u201d and reiterated that society need to speak the truth; take up corrective measure where required and straighten things where they have gone wrong. Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function on the up-gradation of Christian Mission Higher Secondary School (CMHSS) Diphupar, Yitachu urged the gathering to ponder over where the education system has failed and make corrective measures for a better future.<\/span><\/div>\n
He also said the education system in Nagaland has been destroyed because there were too many government teachers who had no conviction about their responsibilities as educators of society. Yitachu also said that there exist also many government employees who do not work which was in contradiction with their religious belief and faith .<\/div>\n
 He asked, if people, as Christians, do not understand the tenets of their faith than how would society progress or young generation grow and expect to shine among other people?. He also mentioned that due to non detention policy, many students have been promoted to higher classes without learning anything.<\/div>\n
Citing the recent HSLC and HSSCL results, he said out of 293 government high school, 37 schools had nil results. Further, he said in 133 high schools no teachers have been provided till today \u201cWe should not expect better result without teachers\u201d he said. <\/div>\n
Encouraging students he said \u201cwhatever you do, do not be guided by excuses but be guided by truth\u201d. Yitachu stressed on hard work, goal setting and a need to value time management in order to compete with others. Yitachu disclosed, that the state government was prepared for bringing about rationalization of school education where government schools not required in some places would be done away.<\/div>\n
Christian Mission Higher Secondary School was known as Nagaland Children Home (orphan home) established in 1972 with the motto \u201clove towards humanity\u201d founded by Late Soyielo Wetsah. The orphanage home was later converted to Christian Mission High Cchool in 1990. Today, its enrolment is 565 students and in the recent HSLC exam, it achieved 94% pass. <\/div>\n
Earlier, Yitachu inaugurated the up-gradation of CMHSS after invocation by pastor CBC Dimapur Rev Dr Weyiete Lohe. Welcome song was presented by CMHSS choir, welcome speech by principal CMHSS Diphupar Imti Temsu Chakhesang. Short speeches were delivered by chairman school management board CMHSS, S K Kenye and chairman Diphupar village council, I Vitoshe Kinimi. Vote of thanks was pronounced by administrator CMHSS Daniel Wetsah and benediction proposed by pastor Ao Baptist church Diphupar, N Lipok Jamir.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
