{"id":134409,"date":"2015-04-18T01:11:38","date_gmt":"2015-04-18T01:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/04\/18\/kohima-to-observe-science-day\/"},"modified":"2015-04-18T01:11:38","modified_gmt":"2015-04-18T01:11:38","slug":"kohima-to-observe-science-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/04\/18\/kohima-to-observe-science-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Kohima to observe Science Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>District Education Officer, Kohima, has announced to organise a competition of innovative Science Talk on April 28 at Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima, commencing from 10:30 a.m.<\/div>\n<div>The competition is being organised to commemorate the National Science Day 2015 on the theme \u201cScience for nation building\u201d emphasizing the importance of science which alone could solve the problems of hunger and poverty, insanitation and illiteracy, of superstition and deadening custom and tradition, of vast resources running into waste, of a rich country inhabited by starving people and the unaffordability to ignore science.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The competition would be organised with the sponsorship from the Department of Science &amp; Technology.<\/div>\n<div>DEO Kohima, K Mary Dz\u00fcvich\u00fc, stated that the programme would be compulsorily participated only by one high school student from up to Class X level as competitor and five other students as spectators. Cash prizes and certificates would be awarded to the winning competitors.<\/div>\n<div>Schools short-listed for participation in the competition are R\u00fczh\u00fckhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Northfield School, G Rio Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Baptist High, Mezh\u00fcr Higher Secondary School, Ministers\u2019 Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Dz\u00fcv\u00fcr\u00fc Public School, Mt.
