{"id":135170,"date":"2015-04-07T01:05:46","date_gmt":"2015-04-07T01:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/04\/07\/pwd-nh-clarifies-on-road-contract-termination\/"},"modified":"2015-04-07T01:05:46","modified_gmt":"2015-04-07T01:05:46","slug":"pwd-nh-clarifies-on-road-contract-termination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/04\/07\/pwd-nh-clarifies-on-road-contract-termination\/","title":{"rendered":"PWD (NH) clarifies on road contract termination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Reacting to reports that the Centre was set to terminate the contract for a bunch of highly controversial highway projects in the country, the state PWD (NH) has clarified that it has not received any directive for terminating contract for the two-laning of four roads in Nagaland from the ministry.<\/div>\n<div>Four different road stretches (Longleng-Changtongya road, Mon-Tamlu-Merangkong road, Phek-Pfutsero road and Zunheboto-Chakabama road) were clubbed together in 2010 and were awarded to M\/s Maytas-Gayatri (JV).<\/div>\n<div>In a press release, PWD (NH) chief engineer V.Kehie, however, stated that the department was concerned about the slow progress of work and was conveyed to the ministry earlier.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;According to chief engineer, the ministry had appointed a consultant in February 2014 for preparation of revised detailed project report and verification of qualities executed by the contract, which, he said, was awaited.<\/div>\n<div>It may be mentioned that the report was published in Times of India&#8211; \u201cContract to be terminated for controversial Nagaland highway projects.\u201d<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reacting to reports that the Centre was set to terminate the contract for a bunch of highly controversial highway projects in the country, the state PWD (NH) has clarified that it has not received any directive for terminating contract for the two-laning of four roads in Nagaland from the ministry.
