{"id":136760,"date":"2015-03-09T23:45:38","date_gmt":"2015-03-09T23:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/03\/09\/organisations-condemn-march-5-incident\/"},"modified":"2015-03-09T23:45:38","modified_gmt":"2015-03-09T23:45:38","slug":"organisations-condemn-march-5-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/03\/09\/organisations-condemn-march-5-incident\/","title":{"rendered":"Organisations condemn March 5 incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) said the incident of lynching an alleged rapist on March 5 was the most horrific act ever recorded in the history of Nagaland and termed as the \u2018blackest\u2019 day which has caused irreparable damage to the good image and reputation of the Nagas, who were otherwise known for their hospitality and friendly nature.<br \/>\nTUD has condemned the incident in the strongest term and demanded stringent action to be taken against all the perpetrators without delay.<br \/>\nTUD press statement issued by its president, Khalo Kapfo, and the general secretary Zhasa Vapru, said the Union after thorough deliberation with its 10 constituent units comprising Angami, Chakhesang, Inpui, Mao, Maram, Pochury, Poumai, Rongmei and Zeliang ascertained that no Tenyimia tribe had either authorized or sent any person to participate in the incident of March 5. It said the action taken by the mob on the fateful day was totally unacceptable to TUD and as such condemned in strongest term.<br \/>\nTUD has requested the law enforcement agency and the judicial inquiry commission to bring out the truth about the incident without fear or favour.<br \/>\nNSCF: Nagaland Senior Citizens\u2019 Association (NSCF), while condemning the rape committed by one Syed Farid Khan on February 24, said rape cannot be tolerated in any civilized society and the culprit deserved severest punishment as per law to deter rapes by potential rapist in future.<br \/>\nNSCA president, Dr. SI Tushi Ao, and the secretary, S Ghunakha Swu, have also condemned the failure of the authorities to take compressive security measures at Central Jail which enabled the mob to broke into the jail and take custody of the culprit by taking the law into their own hands which subsequently led to loss of precious lives, injury to damage to properties and ambulance. <br \/>\nFurther, NSCA has urged the competent authority to expedite the investigation without fear or favour and penalize the guilty as per the law.<br \/>\nWSTH: Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) has strongly condemned the incident that took place on March 5.
