The singer, 21, is said to have enjoyed some cosy nights in with the former I\u2019m A Celebrity contestant over Christmas, shortly before he began preparations for the band\u2019s world tour. &nbsp;According to The Sun, Amy, 22, was careful to make sure her visits to Niall\u2019s house, along with several mutual friends, went unseen. A source told the paper: \u2018Niall and Amy have done well to keep their friendship under wraps. They\u2019re private people and don\u2019t want to highlight their celebrity friends where possible.<\/div>\n<div>\u2018Plus it would set tongues wagging about a relationship. They stay in touch but won\u2019t see each other til Niall returns. \u2018They have never discussed getting together but they have a soft spot for one another.\u2019 &nbsp;Niall has been linked to model Barbara Palvin and singer Ellie Goulding in the past, while Amy has romanced Joey Essex.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, it\u2019s been a tough week for the singer after his band mate, Zayn Malik, sensationally quit the band in the wake of cheating rumours. The handsome chap, who is engaged to be married to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, has confirmed he will pursue a solo career, thought to be under Simon Cowell\u2019s record label Syco.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Niall tweeted on Sunday night: \u2018Had a sit down last night with the label, started organising our writing sessions for the next album! F**k yeaaaahhhh! Can\u2019t wait (sic)\u2019 Amy is currently based in Los Angeles as she works on her career stateside. She recently tweeted: \u2018Morning hike done, breakfast outing with tigerlily and now green tea.
