{"id":137743,"date":"2012-09-02T00:08:48","date_gmt":"2012-09-02T00:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2012\/09\/02\/training-extension-functionaries\/"},"modified":"2012-09-02T00:08:48","modified_gmt":"2012-09-02T00:08:48","slug":"training-extension-functionaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2012\/09\/02\/training-extension-functionaries\/","title":{"rendered":"Training extension functionaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/LTLBYAKFNDSHFUKPXFWW.jpg>One-day training for extension functionaries was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kohima at KVK Conference Hall, Tesophenyu on August 31. <br \/>\nThe participants for the training were agriculture field assistants (AFA), veterinary field assistants, ATMA members and farmers friends working under Tseminyu sub-division.&nbsp; Altogether 31 extension functionaries attended the training programme.<\/p>\n<p>In the power point presentations, horticulture subject matter specialist (SMS), Khekali Sumi spoke on two topics \u201cCanopy management in fruit crops\u201d and \u201cOnion Cultivation\u201d where she explained the principles of canopy management, objective of pruning and package of practices in Onion, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Plant protection subject matter specialist (SMS), Michael Pienyu, presenting the topic \u201cFormulation of bio-pesticide using neem &amp; its application\u201d explained the importance of neem as a biopesticide &amp; its uses, preparation of neem water extract, neem leaf extract and neem seed kernel extract for use as bio-pesticides.<\/p>\n<p>Veterinary and animal husbandry subject matter specialist (SMS), Dr. Temjenunugsang highlighted on the topic \u201cAzolla-As livestock feed\u201d where he emphasized the need of Azolla as livestock feed, Azolla feeding in livestock and the cultivation &amp; management techniques of Azolla.<br \/>\nTraining Assistant, Keviyenuo chaired the programme, while vote of thanks was proposed by Imtisenla SMS (agronomy).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One-day training for extension functionaries was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kohima at KVK Conference Hall, Tesophenyu on August 31.
