Expounding that Nagas are not different from the rest of the people in the country, State Governor, PB Acharya, has called upon non Nagas to make genuine effort to understand where the Nagas come from and experience their unique cultural and traditional values.\nAddressing the \u2018Nagaland Festival 2015\u2019 \u2013 Naga cultural extravaganza at Kavi Kusummagraj Marathi Bhasha Bhavan, Kalina University, in Mumbai, PB Acharya stressed the fact that Nagas are no different than the rest of the people in the country and that everyone should make a genuine effort to understand where the Nagas come from. He said the differences with the Nagas are to be celebrated and enjoyed as a unique experience by any non-Naga. He has further stressed on the importance on the content of the language we speak the tea and not the type of the language we speak.
\nPB Acharya said the festival has been a very promising initiative on the part of the Naga residents in Mumbai and that he totally supported the event.
\nNagaland Festival 2015 was a joint initiative by Indian National Fellowship Centre and Naga Welfare Association to showcase the perfect blending of intellect, creative flair, and grace. The theme \u2018Culture\u2019 was selected after thorough consideration.
\nThe Naga culture was the highlight of the event in every possible manner. Although the Nagas are no foreigners to modern lifestyle, their roots are firmly tied to tradition. Nagaland Festival has proved that the Naga people feel a unique sense of pride by sharing their multi-faceted culture with people from different cultures no matter which place they are in. Festival hostess Rozelle Mero highlighted a lot of issues that could be taken care of with the insightful initiatives by potential investors and higher authorities to make Nagaland an even more prosperous state.
\nProminent speakers of the event Dr. DSA Deo spoke on \u2018Cultural diversity in India and with the Nagas,\u2019 while Dr. Meriyani Odyuo spoke on \u2018Cultural diversity in Nagas and with the world.\u2019
\nThe speeches delivered by the speakers highlighted the diversity and variety in thoughts of the people from Nagaland as well as that of people not from Nagaland. The exchange of thoughts related to the Nagas was not without a cause.
\nThe response from the residents of Mumbai was overwhelming as the venue hall was totally packed with visitors which exceeded beyond the organisers\u2019 expectation.
\nThe main highlights of the Nagaland Festival 2015 include special folk song, theme movie, Naga folk dance by Tangkhul Association, fashion show by Bambi Kevichusa and special song by Alobo Naga.
\nMore than 1000 Nagas were present along with natives of Mumbai City for the event. The event brought together Nagas and non-Nagas under one roof thus creating a perfect ambience to share common interests in music, fashion, and not to forget the exotic Naga food items on display. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
