\nThe spokespersons said whatever decisions taken by the state BJP were \u201call collective decisions and not an individual decision\u201d and asked the chief minister to spell out the source of his information.
\nThey also said if the chief minister had any issue, he could have discussed with the state BJP president \u201c face to face instead of back stabbing\u201d adding the attempt to implicate national BJP \u201c was foul\u201d.
\nBJP also expressed strong condemnation on the statement of Apong Pongener working president NPF for \u201clevelling unfounded allegation\u201don BJP that it had caused a rift between the two NPF groups and that BJP\u2019s decisions endangered the future of NPF-BJP relationship.
\nStating that BJP would not be perturbed by the \u201cveiled threat\u201d, the spokespersons said if Apong and NPF saw any problems with future relationship with BJP, then the party would take up the matter with the national BJP.
\nThe spokespersons said it was known that relations between NPF-BJP had hit rock bottom due to the leader of DAN legislature and regretted that NPF led by \u201csuch leader\u201d still wanted to take state BJP for granted.
\nBJP said since day one of the ongoing leadership crisis within NPF, it had made it clear that the party would only support the majority group for the sake of stability of the DAN-III government. The party said T.R.Zeliang had not formally nor informally approached BJP \u201cbecause he could not never prove his group\u2019s majority\u201d and so the question of \u201csupporting a minority group did not arise\u201d as it would only destabilise the \u201calready fragile government\u201d.
