Kidima falls under southern Angami area, some 32km away from the state capital, Kohima.<br \/>\nIn his address, NLA speaker Sazo said jubilee was a time to forgive and forget the bitter past, if there was any.<br \/>\nHe called upon the villagers to enlarge the bond of friendship not only within but to the neighbouring villages and beyond to register a healthy and peaceful society. <br \/>\nSazo encouraged the villagers to take peace and unity as their primary agenda for prosperity and congenial atmosphere to live in, saying when there was peace and unity there was a ray of hope. Commending KYO on attaining golden jubilee, NLA speaker said during the past 50 years the village has made a remarkable change in the form of lifestyle, religious and social activities.<br \/>\nFurther, Sazo advised the youths not to stay idle and wait for what their village could do for them but come forward and prove what they could do for the village.<br \/>\nExpressing regret that the good traditional practices of the forefathers were diminishing gradually, he called upon the parents and elders to propagate the traditional values for younger generation to follow. He also reminded the gathering that forefathers enjoyed the festivity through their hard earned harvest, however, expressed dismay that many youth of the day were caught in the web of laziness and seeks easy money\/donation for picnic and festival. This, he said was destroying the economy and not good for health also. He also challenged the youth to follow the spirit of hard working and healthy earning as practiced by forefathers. <br \/>\nThe inaugural function was led by organizing committee convenor Kikhwesiil Thokhwe, invocation prayer by CRC Kidima pastor Videse Pucho, jubilee anthem song led by Eyore Phinyo, welcome address delivered by KYO president Sodziiho Thokhwe, exhortation by SAPO president Zadeho Rikha, folk song by KYO, the oath taking was administered by Swedevito Kintso to the participant teams.<br \/>\nVarious indigenous games were played where the following individual\/group declared winner on the first day.&nbsp; Miakra-\u00fc (folk song) \u2013 Makromi Cultural Society, Tati \u2013 Makromi Cultural Society , Mepf\u00fcke\u00fc \u2013 Tepenozo, Philakec\u00fc \u2013 Optimistic Club Kidima, Kets\u00fckekhu \u2013 Mada Vitso, Okokhu \u2013 Makromi Cultural Society, Thulo Keva \u2013 Puchotso Kintso Club , Ole Keda \u2013 Keyolezo, Thuphi Keve \u2013 Neibu, Tsiecha Keva \u2013 Chol, Phiph\u00fctsa \u2013 Zayievikho, Thegoumikes\u00fc \u2013 Hovita Phinyo, Seikemes\u00fc \u2013 Rukuvoto.<br \/>\nVarious games like discus throw, shot put, 100\/200\/400\/800\/1500 metre races, shot put, javelin throw, high jump, long jump, marathon race, football, volley ball, badminton, chess, sepaktakraw, wrestling, arm wrestling and others would be played.<br \/>\nOn January 10, parliamentary secretary Art &amp; culture, printing and stationery Er.
