District level village health community\/HCMC conference on communitizaton was held on November 27 at Town Hall, Peren with deputy commissioner-cum-chairman, district health society Peter Lichamo as the chief guest.\nIn the programme, Lichamo urged VHC members to make the best use of the opportunity given to them. He said that the resources have been provided and it is VHC\u2019s responsibility to render the best service to the people in order to improve performance, coordination and cooperation.
\nLichamo further challenged the unit to make Peren one of the best performing districts in the state.
\nVHC members from Samziuram sub center and Ikiesingram sub center shared their experiences and success story. In a key note address, Dr. Ngangshimeren briefed on the concept of communitization, the goal, duties, functions and responsibilities of health committees. He highlighted on the importance to have convergence with various set up in the village level and stressed on the point to follow the policy \u201cno work no pay\u201d.
\nRNTCP scenario in Peren district and Vector Borne Disease Malaria were also discussed. The program was chaired by Dr. Tiala.
