Creovaent Productions<\/span> – a production house based from Guwahati, Assam is bringing in Shamiana \u2013 popular short film club from Mumbai to Dimapur, Nagaland. Shamiana\u2019s screening has already started in Guwahati, Assam. The Dimapur launch will happen at Hiyo Caf\u00e9 on August 12, 6 pm.
\nCreovaent Productions will be screening short films from all over the world with contents from India and also keeping contents from filmmakers of North-East India. The filmmakers & film lovers from Nagaland can now get a platform where they can come together to get expose to award winning short films from all over the world. Even filmmakers from Nagaland can submit their short films to the club and the club management will review the same.
\nThe screening for the club will be done every month once at Hiyo Caf\u00e9, Dimapur.<\/p>\n

Spirit Underground is supporting the initiative for promoting short films and all film lovers are invited to enjoy some award winning short films from across the world. The major highlight of the August 12, 2011, will be the screening of short film \u2018BLOOD BROTHERS\u2019 by Award Winning popular Bollywood Director Vishal Bhardwaj. Apart from that award winning short films from Netherlands, Australia will also be showcased.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honest attempt from Creovaent Productions side to bring in the short film culture to North-East India where we have film lovers who are always waiting to watch some good films but with Shamiana coming in film lovers can watch short films from across globe every month. The lists of short films to be screened are: Blood brothers – The film stars Siddhartha as a young man who gets a positive HIV diagnosis and henceforth allows his life to fall apart. Pankaj Kapoor plays his laconic doctor. Dir: Vishal Bhardwaj; News – The film shows influence of TV NEWS in a small boy life. Dir: Sarvesh Mewara; Marry Me – Little girl likes little boy. Little boy likes BMX bike. Something has to give. Highly recommended. Dir: Michelle Lehman; Sintel – A story of a young girl on a long and dangerous quest to save her best friend, a baby dragon. Absolutely brilliant animation! Dir: Colin Levy; Windows 4:3 (winner @ GISFF) – This simple story shows various facet of human life with the help of windows. Dir: Late Angshuman Barkakoty.<\/p>\n

Creovaent Productions is the brainchild of the dynamic sibling trio of Prithish, Rajnish and Pooja Chakraborty hailing from the beautiful state of Assam. The term \u2018Creovaent\u2019 has been coined by Rajnish Chakraborty in the fall of 2010 combining three important words \u2013 Creativity (for CREO), Innovation (for OVA) and Entertainment (For ENT) which means \u201cA product of creativity using innovation for the purpose of entertainment.\u201d Thus the name \u2018Creovaent\u2019 itself showcases company\u2019s determination to unite the three basic elements that form the building blocks of modern filmmaking viz. creativity, innovation and entertainment. Creovaent Productions promises to bring about revolutionary changes and to improve the dimensions of filmmaking in the region in many of its works and projects to come.<\/p>\n

Hiyo Caf\u00e9 a coffee house, is one of the happening places in Dimapur which also provides an ideal place for entertainment and small events. It recently featured in India Today Traveller Plus for its unique environment and gigs.
\nSince the beginning of its opening, it has been aiming to promote creative arts and entertainment in the state. Shows and exhibitions were held and the latest venture of Hiyo is with the Creavont Production and Shamania short film club Mumbai to introduce a movie club for the first time in Nagaland.<\/p>\n
