Imran Khan is filing a PIL against the raising of the drinking age limit to 25 in Maharashtra.<\/div>\nThe grand success of \u201cDelhi Belly\u201d followed by the promotion of Yash Raj Films\u2019 \u201cMere Brother Ki Dulhan\u201d hasn\u2019t deterred actor Imran Khan in his pursuit of filing a PIL against the raising of the drinking age limit to 25 in Maharashtra.<\/p>\n
There was some uncertainty on his eligibility for taking up such proceedings as he is a US citizen but his lawyers seem to have found a way in his favour, according to the actor who was born in America.
\n\u201cI am waiting to get the final paperwork from my lawyers. There was doubt that I, being a US citizen, won\u2019t be able to do it. Now I think I will be able to do it. I am waiting till I get an exact confirmation on that,\u201d Imran told IANS.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old actor is avoiding any talk on the matter during the promotion of \u201cMere Brother Ki Dulhan\u201d, lest the intensity of the issue gets diluted.
\n\u201cI don\u2019t want to mix it with \u2018Mere Brother Ki Dulhan\u2019 because then it dilutes the thing. If I do so, the issue gets lost and becomes a gimmick,\u201d he said.
\nReleasing Sep 9, the directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar, \u201cMere Brother ki Dulhan\u201d is a romantic comedy which also features actress Katrina Kaif and singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar in lead roles.
