(HBI) in collaboration with Cosmos Hall Management, the evening will be a celebration and a tribute to Elvis. <br \/>\nAddressing a press conference at the Cosmos Hall Lounge on Tuesday, members of HBI disclosed that the evening \u2018Remembering Elvis\u2019 would not be just a mere remembrance program but an effort to keep the heritage at Mokokchung in their own (HBI) way. <br \/>\nBy doing so, the organizers felt they would be contributing something to the music scenario of Mokokchung. <\/p>\n<p>It is to be noted here that this is the 6th programme organized by the HBI to honor the music legend in the month of August every year. <br \/>\nThough Elvis\u2019 music is not popular among today\u2019s generation, HBI felt they (youth) must try and learn the roots of music and how music started. <br \/>\nHBI also disclosed that they were trying to make Mokokchung \u2018The Mecca of Elvis\u2019 and that effort were on to create Elvis Presley Fan Club in Mokokchung.<br \/>\nThe evening will witness a number of Elvis\u2019 fans performing popular numbers, besides some unusual and obscure songs of Elvis. <br \/>\nThe evening will be graced by Dr. Nicky Kire Advisor MTF as the chief guest wherein the chief guest is also expected to perform at the program along with his family members.<br \/>\nOther renowned local artistes like Longriwati of Squadron, former Naga Idol contestants and present Naga Idol winner, Renbeni Odyuo, members of Seasonal Club, members of Mokokchung District Art and Culture Council (MDACC) and HBI are likely to perform in the event. <\/p>\n<p>A choir \u201cGraceland Harmony\u201d named after Elvis\u2019 home will do the backing. <br \/>\nThe host and hostess for the evening will be Philip Imti and Tutu Longkumer. <br \/>\nEntry to the event would be on invitation only, said the organizers.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, proprietors of Cosmos Hall Management at the press meet said organizing such an event was an honour and a way of realizing their dreams. <br \/>\nRenbeni Odyuo, Naga Idol 2010 who was also present at the press conference affirmed that it was always a pleasure to come to Mokokchung and was glad to be a part of the event. <\/p>\n<p>She also said the evening \u2018Remembering Elvis\u2019 will definitely be an evening to look forward to. <br \/>\nCommenting on the event, the Naga Idol winner said it was like bringing Elvis back to life and further suggested the HBI to start an \u2018Elvis Carnival\u2019. <\/p>\n<p><font>For More Updates, follow us on &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/home.php?sk=group_122822574405511\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: medium none;\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cms.nagalandpost.com\/newsimages\/PhotosCollection\/BKDWMJOIYQWKXUNDBKXF.png\" alt=\"Facebook\" style=\"border: medium none;\" \/><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;and &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/?q=nagaland+post#%21\/nagalandpost90\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: medium none;\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cms.nagalandpost.com\/newsimages\/PhotosCollection\/TWASKRLZSYMZWPFZERZS.png\" alt=\"Twitter\" style=\"border: medium none;\" \/><\/a><\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Remembering Elvis\u2019, a celebration in honour of the King of Rock &amp; Roll, Elvis Presley is being slated at Cosmos Entertainment Hall on August 17.
