Kikon said that the accused &#8211; Tinulepden Ao was a stranger to the residents of Duncan Bosti. <\/p>\n<p>According to DBC, the accused who worked as UDA, PHED in S.E. office was recently transferred from Kohima and was temporarily staying with his daughter\u2019s family in a rented house where the rape took place.<\/p>\n<p>Condemning the rape incident, DBC appealed to responsible authority to give exemplary punishment to the accused for committing the crime.<\/p>\n<p>DBC also said it supported Eastern Nagaland People\u2019s Union (ENPUD)\u2019s call for a silent procession Tuesday starting from City Tower at 9 a.m. The council requested all to join the silent march.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #ff0000;\">DWU to participate in silent march today<\/span><br \/>\nDuncan Women Union (DWU) Monday resolved to participate in the silent procession called by Eastern Nagaland People\u2019s Union, Dimapur (ENPUD) Tuesday (September 25) to protest against the rape of a minor girl.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Duncan Women Union has requested all women of Duncan Bosti to participate in the march without fail to show solidarity with the victim and reassure her that Duncan women stood by her. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Duncan Bosti Council (DBC) Monday clarified that the man accused of raping a minor girl on September 14 was neither a resident of Duncan Bosti nor a member of DBC.
