{"id":145400,"date":"2012-09-30T18:37:00","date_gmt":"2012-09-30T18:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2012\/09\/30\/scert-to-make-spelling-bee-competiton-a-regular-feature-2\/"},"modified":"2012-09-30T18:37:00","modified_gmt":"2012-09-30T18:37:00","slug":"scert-to-make-spelling-bee-competiton-a-regular-feature-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2012\/09\/30\/scert-to-make-spelling-bee-competiton-a-regular-feature-2\/","title":{"rendered":"SCERT to make \u2018Spelling Bee\u2019 competiton a regular feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/WXESFARIXOVCJOMJGDXW.jpg>With the successful completion of the two-day spelling bee competition on September 29, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has decided to make this event a regular feature to provide wider space for students to exhibit their talents.<\/p>\n<p>Director SCERT Vipralhou Kesiezie announced this during the closing function of the 1st Nagaland Spelling Bee Competition 2012 at Convention centre, Kohima, organized under the aegis of Fountain Club (FC) in partnership with SCERT Nagaland.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the gathering as the guest of honor, the director said, one has to be fully equipped with brain power as without brain power, reach to great heights.<\/p>\n<p>Kesiezie while expressing joy at the extensive competition held during the last two days, disclosed SCERT was happy to sponsor the event and thanked FC and the event officials for the successful conduct and revealed that besides spelling bee, music and dance will be added in future.<\/p>\n<p>Chiangmong Khiamniungan of Mezhur Higher Secondary School (MHSS) emerged as the first Bee Champion. The proud champion walked away with a cash of Rs. 50,000, citation and a trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Kato V. of Little Star School Dimapur, Radethoh\u00fc Ringa of St. Mary Cathedral, Kohima and Imtitangit Pongener of Delhi Public School Dimapur bagged the second, third and fourth position respectively. <\/p>\n<p>The three winners received a cash of Rs. 30,000, Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000 along with citations and trophies while the quarter finalists also received a cash of Rs. 5000 each with citations and trophies.<br \/>\nAltogether 137 spellers from 11 districts participated in the event. <\/p>\n<p>The brain challenging game words mostly derived from the origin of French, Greek, Germany, Spanish, Latin, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Italia, Mexican, Canadian, Middle English and Scandinavian etc.<\/p>\n<p>Panel of judges included Catherine Kikon, Narola Jamir, Christine Iralu, Ayo Jajo Aier and NSN Lotha while pronouncers of the event were Pete Krose, Seyiekhrielie Whiso, Bendangyapangla, Dr. Lemtila, Dr. Jano Sekhose, Dr. Tiatoshi, Jamie Puro, Adila and Bendangzenla Longkumer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the successful completion of the two-day spelling bee competition on September 29, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has decided to make this event a regular feature to provide wider space for students to exhibit their talents.
