In reaction to finance department clarification NO.FIN\/TA\/1-5\/98(pt-1) dated Kohima September 19, 2012, All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers\u2019 Union (ANATU) said it has resolved, at its presidential meeting September 28 last, that finance department immediately revoke its order and release pending arrears that were due to teachers.<\/p>\n
In a statement, ANATU president Neizevotuo Nakhro cautioned that in the event finance department order was implemented, then union would resort to take action against the department and initiate its second phase agitation and department would be held responsible for the consequences.<\/p>\n
Stating that the finance department should not over rule cabinet decision, ANATU said state cabinet, while acknowledging union\u2019s grievances, had approved to give the teachers all financial benefits except the effective date.<\/p>\n
For which, the union has asked finance department \u201cnot to stick to the effective date i,e, 01.03.2011\u201d and also confirm that their appointments were done from 1999-2004.<\/p>\n
ANATU further stated that on the recommendation of screening committee, with the approval of the government, the school education had drafted the terms and conditions given in the order. Hence, the union said \u201cthere is nothing to be modified by finance department\u201d.<\/p>\n
Also, pointing out that it has earlier submitted a representation, with regard to the issue, to school education department on September 4 last, ANATU further demanded that finance department revoke its order before it was implemented and written in their service-books. <\/p>\n
The union said \u201cone service-book cannot be easily tampered for no reason as it maintains all the important service histories\/reputations of a government servant\u201d. <\/p>\n
Supplementing its own release issue dated September 25, 2012, ANATU appealed school education to \u201cdefend its own-made order\u201d that was issued to regularize those teachers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
