Thou, deputy commissioner, Mon as chief guest. <\/p>\n<p>Addressing the gathering, Angau I. Thou said the association members present were \u201cGod\u2019s chosen people\u201d and urged the pensioners gathered to seek blessings for the people of the distict for progress and development in every field. <br \/>\nDC also thanked Almighty God for blessing the day for silver jubilee celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The chief guest also released the silver jubilee souvenir. Short speeches were delivered by W. Manpong, Retd. DIS, Mon and Methna, president, Konyak student\u2019s union. <\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, new batch of office bearers were chosen by the nominating committee MDPA. The new team would be led by Ponwang Konyak as president; Angmung Konyak secretary along with three others.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights of the programme included special number and presentation of certificates to the pioneer-pensioners by MDPA.<\/p>\n<p>Around 250 pensioners, including the administrative officers, other government officers, NGO leaders attended the celebration. Earlier, Rev. J.
