Following are some more reports of their activities.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Chuchuyimlang Block: ATMA Chuchuyimlang block started an \u201cApiary Farm School\u201d in Mongsenyimti village which was inaugurated by T. Mayang, A.O. &amp; BTT Convener, on June 14, where Akumnungsang was appointed as the farm school teacher.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">ATMA, Mokokchung Chuchuyimlang Block ATM Lipoktila in a press release said, Chubaienla Jamir, ATM highlighted the functions of ATMA and the concept of farm school.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">During the program, training and demonstration on various topics were also conducted. The farm teacher trained the farmers on apiary management and elaborated upon the benefits and economic aspects of bee keeping. He also gave a demonstration on extraction of honey and colony maintenance. The farm school was named Akumtemjen Apiary Farm School.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Further, on June 18, the same block conducted a demonstration program at Salulamang village.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">A press release from ATM Chuchuyimlang block, Lipoktila stated that resource person T. Mayang AO &amp; BTT convener demonstrated the uses of biofertilizers, where he highlighted their importance and benefits. He also explained the safety and precautionary measures in using biofertilizers.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The program was chaired by Chubaienla Jamir, ATM.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Altogether 20 participants attended the program. Various biofertilizers were also distributed to the attendees.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Thonoknyu block: ATMA Tuensang, Thonoknyu block organised a training demonstration program from June 20 and 21, at Thonoknyu town.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">BTM Achet longchar, ATM Yanger Walling and Kevi were the resource persons who trained the farmers on various topics covering the package of banana and cardamom. The use of trichoderma, bordeaux mixture preparation, organic pesticide preparation, yellow sticky trap and nursery seed bed preparation were also covered and demonstrated.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">During the training a new Farmer Security Group (FSG) under the nomenclature \u201cHAIMEIHOI\u201d was formed with seven members.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Altogether 21 farmers from both Thonoknyu town and village and two SHGs participated in the program.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Later, a Cardamom farm school was inaugurated with Suthem as the farm teacher.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">ATMA Wokha: ATMA, Wokha, conducted a Farm School at New Wokha Village on June 22 on the topic \u201cFloriculture\u201d.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Zuthunglo Erui, BTT convenor said a brief introduction and explained the concept of a farm school. The resource person Shanchobeni Humtsoe HEA elaborated the various uses of flowers; their ornamental, industrial, occasional, and medicinal uses besides making homes beautiful. She also explained how to grow rare flowers and the fertilizers used for growing better flowers.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The program was attended by ATMA officials Elilo Kikon ATM, Zachamo Humtsoe ATM along with 15 members who participated in the program.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">At the end of the program water-cans and bio-pesticides where distributed to the members.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), in its continued efforts to being the latest agricultural technology methods has been continually performing a series of activities across the state.
