To ensure maintaining correct expenditure by the political parties\/candidates and to ensure conduct of free and fair elections, deputy commissioner, Phek, Nikhashe Sema has issued notification to printing press in Phek district. <\/p>\n
In a notification, DC has informed all printing press under Phek district not to print election pamphlet or poster unless accompanied by a declaration on the identity of the publisher duly signed and attested by two persons personally known to him\/her and to be delivered to the printer in duplicate.<\/p>\n
\nIt also informed that the documents printed should bears the name and address of the printer and that a sample copy of the document with the copy of declaration of the publisher identity to the press owner should be submitted to the District Election Officer in prescribed format.<\/p>\n
Printing of hand bill\/placard or poster merely for announcing the date\/time and place of an election meeting or routine instructions to election agents or workers would not be included in the above specifications, the notification stated.<\/p>\n
Further, DC has warned that any printing press found violating the notification would be liable for punishment with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may be extended to 2000 or both.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
