{"id":14619,"date":"2013-01-26T00:11:47","date_gmt":"2013-01-26T00:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/01\/26\/sveep-campaign-held-in-peren\/"},"modified":"2013-01-26T00:11:47","modified_gmt":"2013-01-26T00:11:47","slug":"sveep-campaign-held-in-peren","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/01\/26\/sveep-campaign-held-in-peren\/","title":{"rendered":"SVEEP campaign held in Peren"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Systematic Voters Education and Electors Participation Plan (SVEEP) campaign under Peren district was conducted on January 25 at All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren under the theme, \u201cOne man one vote\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>ADC Peren and SVEEP nodal officer Peren, Bodeno in her short speech said, every district or state is to sensitize the community\/voters on systematic voters\u2019 education and vital participation. <\/p>\n<p>She said eligible voters have the right to elect a leader of their own choice as per the \u2018One man One Vote\u2019 principle.<\/p>\n<p>In painting (pencil sketch) competition, first position was won by Thonwolo Jemu of Peren Govt. College and second position by Christina of All Saints Hr. Sec School. <\/p>\n<p>In singing competition (duet), first position&nbsp; was bagged by Adatbo and Pelungthonbo of Peren Govt. College and second by Keyilungdaule and Keyiheilungle of All Saints Hr. Sec. School. In quartet, the first place was won by Herutpeule, Heihangsile, Idobale and Idwabeule from Peren Govt. College, second-Sunita, Peace, Jenifer and Adaphro from All Saints Hr. Sec. School.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was chaired by Olivi Thurr, Asst. Election Officer, Peren.<br \/>\nSVEEP Campaign was followed by \u2018National Voters\u2019 Day\u2019 with Senti Ao Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Peren as the chief guest. <\/p>\n<p>He led the \u2018National Voters Day\u2019 pledge: \u201cWe, the citizens of India, having abiding faith in democracy, hereby pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Olivi Thurr, AEO on addressing the public, said the main focus of \u2018National Voters\u2019 Day\u2019 is to strengthen the democracy and create awareness among the electors for free, fair and fearless election but it can be achieved only through sensitizing the electors. <\/p>\n<p>She urged all to remind ourselves physically and mentally prepared to cast our vote and do not be influenced by race, religion or any inducement.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Commissioner, Senti Ao gave away the prizes to the winners of the competitions and the best BLO under Peren District was awarded to Chuba DC office Peren.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Systematic Voters Education and Electors Participation Plan (SVEEP) campaign under Peren district was conducted on January 25 at All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren under the theme, \u201cOne man one vote\u201d.
