{"id":146249,"date":"2014-10-26T01:18:30","date_gmt":"2014-10-26T01:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/10\/26\/nscn-i-m-unmasks-mastermind-behind-triple-murder-case\/"},"modified":"2014-10-26T01:18:30","modified_gmt":"2014-10-26T01:18:30","slug":"nscn-i-m-unmasks-mastermind-behind-triple-murder-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/10\/26\/nscn-i-m-unmasks-mastermind-behind-triple-murder-case\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCN (I-M) unmasks mastermind behind triple murder case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Shedding further light on the May 16, 2013 infamous and gruesome triple murder at Bor-Lengri NSCN (I-M) through its secretary UT\/GPRN Khekuto Jakhalu has revealed that Wobenthung Humtsoe, son of Tsalamo Humtsoe of Humtso village was the mastermind behind and that his wife, Loyivani (Avani) Humtsoe, his accomplice. The secretary UT\/GPRN informed that both the husband-wide duo are presently absconding and \u201cundergoing treatment for AIDS\u201d. <br \/>\nThe secretary UT\/GPRN disclosed that after a gap of several months , the main accused Mhonbemo Humtsoe, son of Wabansao Humtsoe of Humtso village was nabbed from Wokha town by the authority concerned on October 22,2014. The UT\/GPRN disclosed that owing to confinement in a room for interrogation, it had not made the arrest public.<br \/>\nAs per Mhonbemo\u2019s confessional statement, UT\/GPRN said he admitted that he and his brother, Abemo Humtsoe, presently lodged in Diphu jail, had murdered late Ronsuo Odyuo of Chanpang village and his pregnant wife Alice Odyuo. Mhonbemo also confessed that they also murdered Alice\u2019s pregnant sister Shanchobeni, who came to Dimapur from Doyang for medical treatment.<br \/>\nMhonbemo confessed that Wopenthung Humtsoe had called him to Dimapur from Wokha. On arriving Dimapur, he and Abemo were briefed by Wopenthung about the plot to murder Ronsuo and his wife. Wopenthung sent Mhonbemo and Abemo to Ronsuo Odyuo\u2019s residence with a .32 pistol with two live rounds to execute the plot. Both hit-men met Ronsuo near railway station and proceeded to the latter\u2019s house and on the way, purchased some liquor. After consuming alcohol before dinner, all of them went out on the pretext of buying beef.<br \/>\nOn the way, Abemo Humtsoe attacked Ronsuo with a dao from behind and rendering him unconscious. Both then tied Ronsuo\u2019s hands behind and began asking him to reveal the secret code (combination lock) number of his digital locker after which they murdered him near the playground. Mhonbemo said he and Abemo then went back to Ronsuo\u2019s house where both Alice and her sister Shanchobeni were sleeping. Abemo \u201cmurdered Alice and then raped her dead body and as a butcher, he cut her stomach too\u201d. Mhonbemo also confessed he went to the room where Shanchobeni was sleeping and attacked her and during scuffle, \u201cher fingers were cut off into pieces\u201d. In the second attempt, he chopped off Shanchobeni\u2019s neck after which she died instantly. They then looted all cash and valuables and fled the place with the help of Wobenthung and his wife Avani in a Bolero belonging to Wobenthung.<br \/>\n&nbsp;Mhonbemo confessed that motive for murder was for late Ronsuo\u2019s wealth and valuable assets. He disclosed that he and his brother Abemo were told by Wobenthung that they would equally share all cash and valuables of late Ronsuo.<br \/>\nHe also confessed that he and late Ronsuo were childhood and school friends and that they never had any misunderstanding or quarrel between that would have led to such crime. After the killings, Mhonbemo fled to Shillong to avoid arrest and Rs.10,000 given by his sister Mrs Zubeni and Mrs Thungjano. Mhonbemo fled Shillong to Siliguri and stayed at the residence of one Pabu (Punjabi) for 11 months which was arranged by his uncle Rupongo Humtsoe of Humtso village.
