GPRN\/NSCN ACCUSES NSCN (K) FOR ATTACK<\/span>
\nA day after NSCN (K) issued its quit notice on families of GPRN\/NSCN residing in Dimapur, a hand grenade was hurled inside the compound of GPRN\/NSCN chaplee secretary Kideon Zhimomi\u2019s residence Friday around 7:30 p.m. at Diphupar injuring his six year old son, his guard and another person.
\nIt may be recalled, that NSCN (K) had issued quit notice to GPRN\/NSCN in retaliation against the \u201cforcible eviction\u201d of 30 family members of its \u2018gen\u2019 Niki Sumi in Narharbari by GPRN\/NSCN. Those injured in Friday\u2019s bomb attack besides Kideon and his son, included two others, later identified as- GPRN\/NSCN \u2018sergeant\u2019 Bokato Sumi, son of Dolokhu Sumi of Vihokhu village and a PA\/sound system operator, Sentimongba, son of S. Madem of Burma Camp colony, Dimapur.
\nBomb shrapnel injured Kideon on the chin; his son on the throat; while Bokato sustained injury on the right arm and the sound operator on the back of the neck.
\nResidents nearby thought that the sound of bomb explosion might have been among exploding diwali crackers.
\nAccording to family members, Kideon and his family had hosted the \u201crevival hour\u201d in their residence when the bomb was hurled in the compound.
\nThey said a tent had been erected for the meeting and when the bomb was hurled, it first landed on the roof of the house before hitting the ground and exploding.
\nA doctor attending to the injured told Nagaland Post that though those injured had lost a lot of blood, yet they were out of danger.
\nMeanwhile, talking to Nagaland Post, some neighbours disclosed that after the blast, one person was seen rushing to a black colour Maruti Alto parked nearby. When the car could not start, some people unknowingly helped by pushing the car to start after which it sped away.  Later SDPO Dimapur Rale Aye and Diphupar Police Station OC K Angami inspected the site. Police suspected the bomb used was a hand grenade.
\nAlso talking to Nagaland Post, GPRN\/NSCN MIP kilonser N Metha blamed NSCN (K) for the bomb attack and termed the act as \u201cfoolish\u201d and \u201cwithout brain\u201d.
\nAsserting that there should be peace amongst the Nagas, Metha asked why there cannot be peace and understanding among Nagas when \u201cwe could have cease-fire\u201d and coming to an \u201cunderstanding\u201d with the government of India.
\nHe reiterated that GPRN\/NSCN was for peace and \u201cunification\u201d and that his group would continue to adhere to maintenance of peace and tranquillity. Terming the incident as \u201cunfortunate\u201d, the MIP kilonser said that such act should not continue and thanked God that no life was lost.
\nOn the conflict between NSCN (K) \u2018gen.\u2019 Niki S\u00fcmi and GPRN\/NSCN kilonser Mulatonu that precipitated the current crisis, Metha pointed out that Niki also defected from GPRN\/NSCN to NSCN (K) with \u201clots of arms\u201d. He said the GPRN\/NSCN did not harbour anything against Niki on the matter and therefore he (Niki) should not likewise, since arms belong to whole of Nagas and were meant for the protection of Nagas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
