Zeliang at his residence and apprised him of the grave danger posed by the influx of Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants (IBIs) in the state.<br \/>\nIn a press release, Inner Line Permit media cell said its member Kilangla Ajem told the chief minister that the movement against the influx of IBIs has been gaining momentum in the state\u2019s districts.<br \/>\nSN apprised T.R. Zeliang on \u201chow easily\u201d any non-indigenous persons could enter Nagaland as the Inner Line Permit (ILP) was not effectively implemented. SN members pressed upon the chief minister to introduce ILP system in Dimapur as it was the gateway to the rest of the state. \u201cContaining IBIs in Dimapur will contain the flow of IBIs in the remaining districts\u201d, said SN.<br \/>\nT.R. Zeliang said the government could discuss plans for opening booths at the airport and railway station where ILP could be mandatorily checked. Zeliang said: \u201cThere are government teachers and other employees who need not apply for an ILP every 15 days but ILP validating one year could be issued in such cases.\u201d<br \/>\nThe chief minister said that there was also a need to review the ILP. <br \/>\nHe also expressed happiness to members of SN that they came to meet him in person to share opinions and to know the position of the state before submitting a memorandum\/ultimatum unlike most other groups or organizations. <br \/>\nSurvival Nagaland said that the chief minister welcomed any organization in Nagaland to submit suggestions on issues pertaining to Inner Line Permit; Nagaland Special Development Zone (NSDZ) and Nagaland Total Liquor Prohibition Act (NLTPA).<br \/>\nAdvisor to the chief minister and former chief secretary Lalthara who was also present in the meeting stated that dependency on the IBIs should firstly be tackled with and awareness of the destructive impacts of harboring IBIs created. <br \/>\nHe also suggested locals be encouraged to take up construction jobs as most of the construction works in the state were&nbsp; undertaken by non-locals of which many were suspected IBIs. Relating to this, he suggested to the CM that a year in the near future could be declared as the \u201cyear of construction workers\u201d to encourage locals take up construction jobs. <br \/>\nSN said it was leading an independent movement with the objective to create awareness of the vicious effects of IBI influx into the state and the organization promoted dignity of labour which was a prerequisite to make state IBI-free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Survival Nagaland (SN) members on Wednesday met chief minister T.R.
