The King County medical examiner announces the \u201cAugust: Osage County\u201d and \u201cDjango Unchained\u201d star died of blunt-force injuries. It\u2019s revealed that she sustained injuries to her head and torso. <br \/>\nLocal police said there were no signs of foul play and believed the injuries were the result of a fall. However, the manner of the actress\u2019 death is still undetermined. Investigation is still ongoing to find out what happened to the late star before she died. <br \/>\nUpham, 32, was reported missing in early October. A search party consisting of family and friends later discovered the Native American actress lifeless at the bottom of a wooded embankment in Auburn. Her purse and identification were found with her. <br \/>\nHer family believed she had been mistreated by police officers and her disappearance was not taken seriously by the authorities. Her \u201cOsage County\u201d co-star Juliette Lewis even tweeted, \u201cMisty told me about horrible violence she suffered on NA reservations. She felt she could be murdered! Bcuz she was vocal #ThisIsNOTaSUICIDE.\u201d <br \/>\nHowever, the Auburn police department denied the allegations. \u201cSince July of 2013, the Auburn Police Department has responded to five separate incidents involving Ms. Upham,\u201d they said in a statement. \u201cOn four of those incidents, she was contacted by officers and she did not object to being transported by private ambulance for further evaluation. On the 5th incident, Misty had already left the residence and officers were unable to locate her. Each contact was handled professionally and with compassion, with the goal of getting Ms. Upham the attention and care she needed.\u201d <br \/>\n\u201cThere have been no mistreatment complaints received by the Auburn Police Department from Ms. Upham, her family, MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, King County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe or elected officials at the City of Auburn.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cause of Misty Upham\u2019s death is unearthed.
