Simon reportedly had to take a step back from auditions for this year\u2019s \u2018X Factor\u2019 in the US after he feared his lifestyle was making him into a \u201cweird vampire.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an updated new chapter of his book, \u2018Sweet Revenge , The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell\u2019, Tom Bower says the TV star told his close friend and \u2018X Factor\u2019 colleague Louis Walsh: \u201cI don\u2019t want any more tablets and pills. I\u2019m cutting out the lot, including cigarettes\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI desperately need peace. I\u2019m craving normality. I\u2019ve got to work out my demons and come out of it\u201d.
\n\u201cI have to get back to where I was years ago. I had to stop reading texts at three in the morning and making calls later and later. I wanted peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
Simon, 52, later added to friends that the pressures of constantly flying between the US and the UK were getting too much for him, saying: \u201cMy life was like a night shift. I\u2019d forgot`ten the sensation of the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Playboy model Danielle Delaney has made claims she had a seven year on-off relationship with the star.
\nThe 35-year-old actress claims she was seduced by the TV boss and once even got frisky with him in the back of his limousine as he took her to his \u00a315 million Los Angeles mansion.<\/p>\n
A source close to Danielle said: \u201cShe had an amazing night with Simon.
