{"id":146889,"date":"2014-10-15T01:14:45","date_gmt":"2014-10-15T01:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/10\/15\/ghs-longsa-celebrates-golden-jubilee\/"},"modified":"2014-10-15T01:14:45","modified_gmt":"2014-10-15T01:14:45","slug":"ghs-longsa-celebrates-golden-jubilee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/10\/15\/ghs-longsa-celebrates-golden-jubilee\/","title":{"rendered":"GHS Longsa celebrates golden jubilee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Government High School Longsa Tuesday celebrated its golden jubilee at the school premises with advisor SIRD &amp; chairman NSMDC, Merentoshi R Jamir as the chief guest and additional development commissioner, planning &amp; coordination, Temsuwati Longk\u00fcmer as the guest of honor.<br \/>\nIn his address, Merentoshi R Jamir acknowledged the forefather and the pioneers of the school who with \u201cgreat vision\u201d established the school which had produced officers and leaders in the society.<br \/>\nHe also congratulated the school authority, the Longsa village council, teachers and students for achieving attaining the great milestone. <br \/>\nWhile pointing out that the school has benefitted not only the Longsa villagers but also the neighbouring S\u00fcmi villages under Zunheboto district, Merentoshi encouraged the school authority to work harder so that the school could continue to benefit not only the Longsa villagers, the neighbouring S\u00fcmi villages but even the nearby villages under Tuensang district.<br \/>\nHe urged the school authority, the village council and the community not to forget the \u201cvision\u201d of the forefathers and the pioneers but to keep it alive and achieve greater heights.<br \/>\nGuest of honour, Temsuwati Longk\u00fcmer, an alumnus of the school, inspired the students with his life story. <br \/>\nHe narrated that he was also from a farmer\u2019s family, who studied hard and by God\u2019s grace and through hard work, achieved his present position. Appreciating the good results of the school, especially the \u2018cent percent\u2019 matriculation result in the year 2013, Temsuwati challenged the school authority, teachers and students to make Government High School Longsa as a model government high school in the state.<br \/>\nOthers who spoke at the programme include deputy director of economics &amp; statistics, R Takamanen Jamir and Longsa Village council chairman, R Lanu.&nbsp; GHS Longsa headmaster Talewapang welcomed the gathering while Pastor Longsa Baptist Church invoked God\u2019s blessing on the programme.&nbsp; S\u00fcmi students of GHS Longsa presented a spirited traditional dance while the GHSL students presented traditional song \u201cOngmeshang Ken\u201d (echo of love). <br \/>\nHost of dignitaries from the district administration and police attended the golden jubilee celebration.
