{"id":14701,"date":"2013-01-29T01:00:52","date_gmt":"2013-01-29T01:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/01\/29\/landowners-claim-encroachment\/"},"modified":"2013-01-29T01:00:52","modified_gmt":"2013-01-29T01:00:52","slug":"landowners-claim-encroachment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/01\/29\/landowners-claim-encroachment\/","title":{"rendered":"Landowners claim encroachment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Office of the Landowners\/Pattadars (OLP), Dimapur has claimed that pockets of land occupied by the army\/military\/paramilitary in Dimapur have been encroached by \u201cprivate party (ies)\u201d and some pattas have also been issued to Non-Nagas. <\/p>\n<p>\nOLP has urged the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur to immediately verify all the pockets of land occupied by the army\/military\/paramilitary in Dimapur. <\/p>\n<p>In a representation submitted to the DC, OLP president Chupfou Angami and secretary K. Thong said that the landowners have been standing by the government directive that no patta holder shall occupy land under army occupation until the land was officially handed over to and taken over by the state government. <\/p>\n<p>OLP alleged that both the government and the army have failed to protect the land and as a result private parties have encroached the land particularly in \u201cBlock 7 and Block 9.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The landowners also said that they have received complaints that land pattas have been issued to Non-Nagas too. <\/p>\n<p>They reminded that in their last meeting, the landowners had resolved against the allotment of land to Non-Nagas and also to support \u201cgenuine and original pattas against false pattas.
