Posatho Ngouri as chief guest.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, Ngouri said the theme for the conference was suitable to bring change and progress within the community and the society.<br \/>\nAsserting Dimapur was a \u201cmigratory town\u201d, where people from different cultures, religion and caste and creed lived, Ngouri said Pochury tribe was also one of them living in the town.<br \/>\nStating that any mischievous thing that students did would embarrass the community, chief guest told the students that they were in Dimapur to pursue their studies and Pochury people had high expectations from them. He said they were expected to do good things that would be exalted by their people.<br \/>\nOn \u201cbackward\u201d status of the tribe, the chief guest said the backward attachment could be done away by the students by working harder thus changing the image of the Pochury tribe in a positive way.<br \/>\nEarlier, the programme, which was chaired by the student PSUD assembly speaker Kusi, started with an innovation prayer by Pochury Baptist Church Chumukedima (PBCC) pastor, Hopejoy M. Sharu.<br \/>\nWelcome address was delivered by PSUD finance secretary Wurhotsho; Chumukedima Pochury students presented a folk tune; presidential address was delivered by John Thurr; exhortations were shared by Pochury Hoho Dimapur District (PHDD) president, Scuts\u00fctho Amon, and Pochury Women Hoho Dimapur District (PWHDD) president, Ghuchi Snock.<br \/>\nVarious academic excellence awards in various examinations were also presented including those who had made it in the NPSC this year.&nbsp; <br \/>\nA cultural show under the initiative of the union vice-president Nganga Chusah was also held, where the students showcased varieties of costumes of the tribe.
