\nAt a brief programme, the members of MAAM along with the reigning beauty queens gave away cash of Rs.10,000 to four cancer patients, who are undergoing treatment presently at IMDH.
\nSpeaking at the programme, additional SP Mokokchung, Yanren Ngully, who graced the programme as guest of honour, expressed his hope that the Trust Fund of MAAM would reach out to the people in need. Appreciating the efforts made by MAAM, ASP Mokokchung further encouraged MAAM members to keep up the good works. He assured that the department would extend all possible help for the greater cause of the society.
\nNgully also urged the MAAM members to come with new initiatives and try to focus in various other social issues that were plaguing the society. Earlier, delivering keynote address, MAAM president Asola Ozukum said launching of this trust fund was an important occasion, saying they were a part of history in the making. She said MAAM would be witness to a noble task, which started as a dream.
\nMAAM president said the management has come a long way though it started just a few months back with the motto \u2018Transforming the Lives of Youth & Women\u2019, promoting beauty & talent; encouraging positivity, helping built trust, confidence and exposure.
\nA voluntary organization and with the vision to help out the needy, the MAAM decided to open a trust fund for cancer patients in need of treatment, she added.
\nMedical Superintendent of IMDH Dr. Lima, who also gave a short speech, acknowledged the initiatives of MAAM. He said IMDH has the record of many charity works by the community but this event was different. Dr.Lima expressed his hope that such initiatives would continue so the needy patients were relived through such funds.
