Chikri, Pf\u00fctsero, where around 500 delegates attended the programme from 98 Churches under CBCC. <\/p>\n<p>The theme \u201cIn Step with the Spirit\u201d was deliberated by president, Rev. D.N. Soho, pastor, Phek Town Baptist Church, while the other speakers were Rev. Dr. Coppe, executive director, Resource Centre, Dimapur, Rev. Khr\u00fctsoyi L\u00fcruo, state chaplain, Nagaland, and Dr. Cekroveyi Cho-o, assistant professor, Applied Theology, OTS. <\/p>\n<p>During the plenary session, issues on state elections were thoroughly delved into and deliberated and reaffirmed NBCC\u2019s \u2018Clean Election guidelines\u2019 and decided to continue to pursue its campaign in all the different areas and villages along with the village leaders. <\/p>\n<p>Many voluntarily came forward and signed the pledge card to maintain \u2018clean election\u2019 and combat the evil practices in the Naga society.<\/p>\n<p>A release issued by CBCC office also stated general election guidelines has been worked out by the Chakhesang Frontal Organizations namely, CPO, CMA, CYF, CSU, GBs and all the denominations of churches in Chakhesang area.<\/p>\n<p>It stated that the guidelines included &#8211; display of party flag, poster, banner and billboard should not be put in the church and community owned houses\/places, inflow of liquor and use of intoxicated articles shall be strictly prohibited in the villages\/ colonies, there shall be no feasts, drunkenness or nuisances in all the political party offices in the village or town, no mass procession, vote shall not be bought or sold, only 18 years and above shall be allowed to caste vote as per election norms, and there shall be no proxy vote, Church workers shall not be allowed to involve in election canvassing nor will they allow their houses for election purposes, if any church worker wished to involve in election campaign, he or she must resign first from the active church ministry, no political parties shall be allowed to do election campaign\/canvassing on Sundays there shall be no mass feast for election purpose, no party\/faction\/organization shall be allowed to use arms\/weapons for threats, extortions or booth capture, etc., casting of vote shall not be done through force or by booth capturing, village council shall organize common platform for the concerned political parties to present their respective party manifesto, and no solid or majority declaration shall be declared by any village authority for the sake of peace and tranquility in the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) held its 62nd general council session at Mission Centre Church, T.
