The death of actor and comedian Robin Williams has been found to be suicide, authorities in California have revealed.\nIn a statement the Marin County coroner said the 63-year-old was not under the influence of illegal substances or alcohol at the time of his death on August 11.
\nHe had four drugs in his system – two anti-depressants and two caffeine compounds.
\nThe report in to his death said when authorities found his body they found a closed bottle of Seroquel, a drug that treats schizophrenia, bipolar disorders and depression, close by.
\nIt was prescribed a week before he died.
\nThe investigation concluded the Mrs Doubtfire star\u2019s died from asphyxia due to hanging and had been treated for depression.
\n\u201cAlcohol and illegal drugs were not involved, the statement from the coroner\u2019s office said.
\nPrescription drugs were found in \u201ctherapeutic concentrations,\u201d the statement added.
\nThe actor, who found fame playing Mork in Mork and Mindy, was last seen alive by his wife Susan Schneider on 10 August.
\nThe following morning, as she was out running errands, the actor\u2019s personal assistant became concerned when he did not respond to knocks on the door.
\nShe then entered the home and found Williams dead.
\nThe report also stated he had been struggling with his Parkinson\u2019s, anxiety, depression and paranoia just before he took his own life.
\nAccording to the report the night before Williams died, he placed several watches in a sock and gave them to someone because he was worried about their safe keeping.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
