{"id":147511,"date":"2014-10-02T01:25:42","date_gmt":"2014-10-02T01:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/10\/02\/nlsf-rejects-nsdz-proposal\/"},"modified":"2014-10-02T01:25:42","modified_gmt":"2014-10-02T01:25:42","slug":"nlsf-rejects-nsdz-proposal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/10\/02\/nlsf-rejects-nsdz-proposal\/","title":{"rendered":"NLSF rejects NSDZ proposal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Nagaland Law Students\u2019 Federation (NLSF), which also attended the Nagaland consultative meeting on NSDZ, NIB and NLTP held at SIRD, Kohima September 26, asserted there was lot of \u201cfatal flaws\u201d in the resolution that had been proposed for adoption by the house to implement the Nagaland Special Development Zone (NSDZ).<br \/>\nIn a press release, NLSF president Lanusowa and general secretary Khemvu said after expressing its views, the government had to postpone the adoption of their \u201ctailor made resolutions on that day.\u201d<br \/>\nStating that NSDZ could bring benefits to the people if only it was carefully and properly implemented at the right time, NLSF, however, said in its present form and at this present juncture NSDZ was only posing as threat to Naga society, which it described \u201cwill drive the Naga generations to the point of extinction.\u201d<br \/>\nIt said government should be sincere, honest, and transparent in dealing with such affairs of the state by taking utmost care for the welfare of its citizens before implementing any of its public policies and programmes.<br \/>\nMaintaining that Nagaland was not yet prepared to take up the challenges involved with NSDZ, the federation demanded government revive the sick and defunct industrial units in various parts of Nagaland before taking up NSDZ.<br \/>\nNLSF has further asked the government to maintain democracy by making its policies and programme transparent and then hold a public referendum before adopting any resolutions on NSDZ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland Law Students\u2019 Federation (NLSF), which also attended the Nagaland consultative meeting on NSDZ, NIB and NLTP held at SIRD, Kohima September 26, asserted there was lot of \u201cfatal flaws\u201d in the resolution that had been proposed for adoption by the house to implement the Nagaland Special Development Zone (NSDZ).
