{"id":147574,"date":"2014-10-01T00:40:47","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T00:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/10\/01\/banuo-jamir-retires-toshi-aier-new-cs\/"},"modified":"2014-10-01T00:40:47","modified_gmt":"2014-10-01T00:40:47","slug":"banuo-jamir-retires-toshi-aier-new-cs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/10\/01\/banuo-jamir-retires-toshi-aier-new-cs\/","title":{"rendered":"Banuo Jamir retires, Toshi Aier new CS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/BKTIFVLDVDVKPHYRYFXO.jpg>Banuo Z.Jamir IAS, Nagaland\u2019s first lady Chief Secretary, a 1977 batch of the IAS, retired from service Tuesday on attaining superannuation, eight months after she had taken over as chief secretary. <br \/>\nShe was accorded a fond farewell at an impressive function held at the VIP parking of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat.<br \/>\nWhile bidding farewell, Banuo said she demits office with fond memories of the state and would cherish the support and love that the people of Nagaland and her subordinate officers during her long service.<br \/>\nBanuo mentioned that she became chief secretary \u201c by default\u201d for which she thanked her husband and former state chief secretary Alemtemshi Jamir for sacrificing a year of his service to make way for her to attain the highest place of service in the State. <br \/>\nShe also expressed contentment and joy on retiring and expressed gratefulness to God for blessing her life and further said she would continue to contribute her time for the welfare of society even after retirement.<br \/>\nBanuo said there was no good nor bad posting and all government employees should be willing to serve anywhere in the state. <br \/>\nShe also urged officials to work hard and build up a spirit of camaraderie. <br \/>\nSpeaking on behalf of the state government, additional chief secretary C.J. Ponraj commented the outgoing chief Secretary Banuo Z Jamir as the \u201cmodel employee\u201d, while acknowledging the excellent and exceptional contributions made by her in the state administration. <br \/>\nTributes and gifts were accorded by respective state government departments and commissions. <br \/>\nToshi Aier, currently additional chief secretary and finance commissioner and senior IAS officer, took over from Banuo Z. Jamir as the new Chief Secretary with effect from October 1. <br \/>\nToshi Aier chaired the function where various service associations IAS, NCS, NSS, IPS, IFS, NPS, District Administration, the Directorates, and the Grade-IV associations delivered farewell speeches. The farewell function was also attended by the Nagaland Director General of Police&nbsp; (DGP) B.
