{"id":148199,"date":"2014-09-21T01:36:04","date_gmt":"2014-09-21T01:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/09\/21\/excise-deptt-destroys-huge-quantity-of-liquor-in-dmu\/"},"modified":"2014-09-21T01:36:04","modified_gmt":"2014-09-21T01:36:04","slug":"excise-deptt-destroys-huge-quantity-of-liquor-in-dmu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/09\/21\/excise-deptt-destroys-huge-quantity-of-liquor-in-dmu\/","title":{"rendered":"Excise deptt.destroys huge quantity of liquor in Dmu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Excise Dimapur district on Saturday destroyed 1184 cases of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth 10 lakh (approximately) at its office premises.<br \/>\nThe liquor was seized by 29 Assam Rifles on September 12 from a truck (AS 03 A 2783) and handed over to the department for further investigation and necessary action.<br \/>\nIn a press handout by deputy commissioner excise Lanuwati Jamir informed that on August excise Dimapur district seized 7042 bottles of assorted liquor and Rs. 2, 48, 900 was imposed as fine.<br \/>\nHe also informed that till September 15, excise Dimapur district has seized 2606 bottles&nbsp; of assorted liquor and has imposed a fine of Rs. 2, 12, 000 making a total of Rs. 4, 60, 900 as revenue.<br \/>\nJamir said that the excise department was keeping vigil round the clock to curb illegal supply and smuggling in the district as well as the state.<br \/>\nThough with limited manpower, he said that the department was trying to best to make liquor prohibition a \u201csuccess\u201d terming prohibition as \u201cpeople war\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Excise Dimapur district on Saturday destroyed 1184 cases of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth 10 lakh (approximately) at its office premises.
