{"id":148851,"date":"2014-09-12T01:39:12","date_gmt":"2014-09-12T01:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/09\/12\/pollution-board-issues-closure-notice-to-gref\/"},"modified":"2014-09-12T01:39:12","modified_gmt":"2014-09-12T01:39:12","slug":"pollution-board-issues-closure-notice-to-gref","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/09\/12\/pollution-board-issues-closure-notice-to-gref\/","title":{"rendered":"Pollution board issues closure notice to GREF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Based on the failure to respond to directives issued earlier with regard to seeking prior consent to establish stone crushers and plants by 89 Road Construction Coy (General Reserve Engineering Force&#8211; GREF), Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) has now issued closer notice for the same as per section 5 of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.<br \/>\nIn a notice dated August 30, NPCB asked 89 Road Construction Coy (GREF) EE (civil) commanding officer Prabhat Kumar to close operation of the following places:&nbsp; Stone Crusher Km 130.000 (Dimapur-Kohima-Mao); HMP Plant Km 132.000 (Dimapur-Kohima-Mao); Stone Crusher Km 202.000 (Dimapur-Kohima-Mao); HMP Plant Km&nbsp; 4.250 (Jotsoma By Pass) and WMM Km 6.250 (Botsa-Zeizou-New Ralan-Bokajan); Stone Crusher Km 92.000 (Kohima-Pedi-Peren) and WMM Km 92.000 (Kohima-Pedi-Peren).<br \/>\nNagaland Pollution Control Board said General Reserve Engineering Force had been earlier directed to have prior consent to establish\/operate as per the Section 21 of the Air Act (1981) and Section 25 of the Water Act (1974) on or before August 20, 2014.<br \/>\nSince there has been no response, these places had been directed to close operation with immediate effect for violation of environmental laws and rules till further notice from the board. <br \/>\nViolation of the closure notice would invite penalty if convicted, under Section 15 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, said Nagaland Pollution Control Board.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based on the failure to respond to directives issued earlier with regard to seeking prior consent to establish stone crushers and plants by 89 Road Construction Coy (General Reserve Engineering Force&#8211; GREF), Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) has now issued closer notice for the same as per section 5 of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
