{"id":14899,"date":"2013-02-01T00:07:56","date_gmt":"2013-02-01T00:07:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/02\/01\/nagaland-baptist-church-council-clean-election-campaign-in-eastern-nagaland\/"},"modified":"2013-02-01T00:07:56","modified_gmt":"2013-02-01T00:07:56","slug":"nagaland-baptist-church-council-clean-election-campaign-in-eastern-nagaland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/02\/01\/nagaland-baptist-church-council-clean-election-campaign-in-eastern-nagaland\/","title":{"rendered":"Nagaland Baptist Church Council clean election campaign in Eastern Nagaland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/YTAFLBVDBYVMCCHLZYXK.jpg>Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC)\u2019s clean election campaign was held across four places between January 29 and 30.<\/p>\n<p>On January 29, a clean election rally initiated by Yimchunger Baptist Borubo Amukhongto (YBBA) under NBCC was held at the public ground, Shamator. <\/p>\n<p>Administrative heads, public leaders, political parties, national workers, church leaders and public were present at the rally where NBCC women secretary Rev. Narola, youth secretary Vikuo Rhi, and NBCC working committee pastor Sangkap addressed the gathering on the guidelines of the clean election campaign. <\/p>\n<p>ADC, Shamatore also spoke during the rally and urged the gathering not to \u201ccrucify our Lord Jesus again with malpractices.\u201d Pledge cards were signed and dedicated by Rev. Narola. Clean election torch was lighted by the YBBA execurtive secretary Rev. Z. Thsankiu. <\/p>\n<p>Later on the same day, a meeting with the church leaders of Khiamniungan Baptist Churches Association (KBCA) was held in Noklak where Rev. Narola and Vikuo Rhi spoke on churches\u2019 participation in initiating clean election and its biblical basis that one should not sell God\u2019s given birthright during the election. <\/p>\n<p>They also highlighted the NBCC guidelines on clean election. KBCA church leaders have decided to hold a prayer meeting with all the intending candidates and political parties on February 8.<\/p>\n<p>On January 30, another meeting was held in Tuensang with Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT), where GB, DB, women organization, CKS (Chang Tribal Hoho), gazetted officers\u2019 union representatives, students\u2019 union representatives, Tuensang Town Municipal Council and church leaders were also present. <\/p>\n<p>CBLT executive secretary Rev. Ongmang Chang chaired the meeting. Pastor Sangkap, Rev. Narola and Vikuo Rhi were the main speakers in the meeting. <\/p>\n<p>They deliberated on the importance of clean election that one should participate in the electoral process on the basis of constitutional right, democratic spirit and Christian values. <\/p>\n<p>Later on the same day, a meeting was held at Yangli with the Church leaders of United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashim\u00fckhong on the guidelines for clean election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC)\u2019s clean election campaign was held across four places between January 29 and 30.
