\nAccording to a press release, the governor appreciated the efforts taken by the state government for the benefit of the patients who come for treatment in Guwahati and staying in homely atmosphere.
\nHe also lauded the maintenance of the lodge under the care of joint resident commissioner, Nagaland House Guwahati Maria Yanthan.
\nThe governor said Nagaland was the first state in the Northeast to set an example for helping patients who went out of the state to avail health care services.
\nThe governor and his wife also visited Shipgram of the North East Zone Cultural Centre at Panjabari, Guwahati. He was impressed by the craftsmen and the talents of the artists from all the eight Northeastern states.
\nNagaland Governor P.B. Acharya on August 9 visited the canning plant functioning under the aegis of Assam Rifles (AR) as a community empowerment project at Medziphema.
\nAccording to reports, the governor was accompanied by his wife, Kavita Acharya. During the visit, the Governor was apprised about the management and functioning of the canning plant which started its commercial production from June 27, 2014.
\nThe canning project was the first of its kind in Nagaland and a joint venture of AR and Medziphema Village Council. The plant was expected to provide employment to twelve villagers under Medziphema.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
