{"id":151711,"date":"2013-08-19T00:56:10","date_gmt":"2013-08-19T00:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/08\/19\/niki-questions-fnrs-silence-over-defections\/"},"modified":"2013-08-19T00:56:10","modified_gmt":"2013-08-19T00:56:10","slug":"niki-questions-fnrs-silence-over-defections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/08\/19\/niki-questions-fnrs-silence-over-defections\/","title":{"rendered":"Niki questions FNR\u2019s silence over \u2018defections\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Naga reconciliation among Naga political groups is being hailed almost as an \u201cachievement\u201d through its objective of bringing unity among various Naga political groups for a common goal; though recent incidents appear to be casting doubts on the role of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation(FNR)in the matter.<\/p>\n<p>This has led NSCN (K) \u2018lt. gen\u2019 Niki Sumi to question the FNR for its \u201csilence\u201d to recent cases of \u201cdefections\u201d by cadres of Naga political groups from one to the other under the guise of \u201creconciliation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stating this in a telephone talk with Nagaland Post Sunday from the Suruhuto designated camp of the NSCN (K),&nbsp; Niki alleged that a number of \u201cdesperate\u201d cadres of various Naga national groups have been \u201cvictimized\u201d by FNR and were \u201crunning around from one group to the other.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In this regard, Niki asked : \u201cWhy is FNR silent? It has to respond because the defections going on among Naga underground factions excluding NSCN (K), are due to FNR\u2019s victimization by taking the name of unity and reconciliation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He also maintained that those Naga national workers from NSCN (I-M), FGN, NNC and \u2018Khole party\u2019 who were defecting from one group to the other, under the garb of unification, was actually for one reason- want of more \u201cpower.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Further questioning the FNR, Niki said if it was able to unify the Naga underground factions into one, would it(FNR) ask them (Naga groups) to stand up and fight for sovereignty or ask them to sit down quietly since they have all come together and become unified? . <\/p>\n<p>He also sought an answer from the FNR on modalities and if unification has been achieved on that basis, among the different Naga underground groups?. \u201cFNR has to give a declaration on this account too,\u201d Niki insisted. <\/p>\n<p>Nikki also termed it \u201cvery unfortunate\u201d the press statement by former NSCN(K) \u2018kilonser\u2019 Hokato Vusshe who recently defected to GPRN\/NSCN and commented on the origin of president SS Khaplang as being a \u201ca Burmese and having no concern for Nagas.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot even chairman Isak Chishi Swu, general secretary Th.
