The present Naga society is in trouble because people are selfish and cannot sacrifice to come out of their comfort zones to serve the people and society. This was said by DGP, Nagaland, Besesayo Kezo speaking as the chief guest during the Golden Jubilee celebration of 2nd NAP Battalion in Alichen under Mokokchung on August 1.\nThe 2nd NAP Battalion which was formed on August 1, 1964, had richly contributed towards the welfare of the people of the state and the country as a whole by keeping their motto \u201cSecurity, Service and Sacrifice\u201d said the chief guest. Kezo maintained that many officers served at Alichen 2nd NAP Battalion have reached the Rank of DGP in the state during the last 50 years. He further urged the officers and the personnel of 2nd NAP Battalion to give their best in keeping with the motto for the people and the society in order to live up to the dreams of the pioneers.
\nIGP (NAP) Nagaland, Toshitsungba Aier, who was the guest of honour, said 2nd NAP Battalion deserved to be honoured for all the exemplary services rendered to the people during the 50 years after its formation. He also asked the Battalion to be the torch bearer for the younger generation. Toshitsungba Aier also acknowledged the support and contributions made by the neighboring villages saying that the contributions made by them have made the Battalion to come this far and urged to extend support even in the days to come.
\nEarlier, the chief guest unveiled the Jubilee Monolith at Battalion office campus while Unit pastor, Imti Kichu offered the dedicatory prayer. The welcome speech was said by Commandant 2nd NAP YE Ngullie and the Jubilee Souvenir was released by the chief guest.
