\nOn Friday evening though, the pop singer and actor broke their own rules as they attended a New York Fashion Week party host by Harper\u2019s Bazaar together.
\nAnd they couldn\u2019t have looked more in love as they cosied up while posing for pictures.
\nGaga took the plunge in a black and white dress which she wore with a dramatic diamond necklace and striking red lips. Not only was she flashing her cleavage but the dress also featured a thigh high split, so her shapely legs were on show.
\nTaylor, 33, looked particularly dapper in his suit as he watched his 28-year-old girlfriend take to the stage.
\nThe couple rarely talk about their relationship but earlier this year Taylor said: \u201cI have no desire to talk about rumours. But I think we just complement each other. I\u2019m proud of her, and I\u2019d like to believe she\u2019s proud of me. We\u2019re kindred spirits.\u201d
\nNot surprisingly rumours have been rife that the pair are planning to tie the knot soon.
\nIt was recently reported that the wacky singer is keen to tie the knot in the most out of this world wedding ever, and is thinking that her trip to outer space could be the right location.
\n\u201cGaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up,\u201d a source told the Daily Star newspaper.
\n\u201cIt would be typical of her to have the least conventional \u2018wedding ever. Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn\u2019t be a priest or religious figure there. But they don\u2019t care about convention, it\u2019s more about making each other a life-long promise.\u201d
