Acharya on Friday stressed on the need for educational institutions to supplement conventional degrees with skilled courses for the future of the students.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Addressing the annual conference-cum-seminar of the Nagaland College Principals Forum (NCPF) at Sazolie College, Jotsoma, Acharya said the role of educational institutions were vital in Nation building by strengthen, empowering and developing the youth of the nation.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Maintaining that skill development was the driving force behind financial growth of any country, he reminded that skill building was a powerful tool to empower individuals and improve their social acceptance.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">For this, the Governor called upon the principals to impart the right knowledge and skill the students so that they will be able to find jobs as they pass out from colleges.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">While pointing out that the challenge lies in quantitative and qualitative expansion of facilities for skill training, Acharya opined that it was also important to empower the young minds with the right knowledge.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">He also urged the principals to inculcate the feeling amongst students to give back to the society once they achieve their educational goals, so that they do not turn out to be \u201cself-centred\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Acharya also urged the colleges to visit villages at regular intervals and to identify the beneficiaries for Central and State Flagship Programmes for the development of the State.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Association of Indian College Principals (AICP) president, Prof Dr Subhash Brahmbhatt called upon the principals to work for quality education and to find ways to impart the right knowledge to students.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Brahmbhatt also encouraged the principals to obtain NAC accreditation which would benefit the institutions in the long run.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Earlier, Nagaland College Principals Forum president CPF and principal Unity College, Dr SK Chhabra delivered the welcome address while principal, St Joseph\u2019s College, Dr Fr Sebastian said the invocation prayer.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The programmed was chaired by general secretary, NCPF and principal Kohima Science College, Dr Lily Sema while vote of thanks was proposed by principal Oriental College, Dr Ketshukietuo Dzuvichu.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">AICP president, Prof Dr Subhash Brahmbhatt and AICP executive member, Dr Shirish V Chindhade were the resource persons of the seminar.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland Governor, P.B.
