\u201cRock Reign\u201d-the ultimate battle of the bands which is a calendar event for Cosmos Entertainment Inc.(CEI) was kicked off by parliamentary secretary for youth resource and advisor non renewable energy & MTF Khreihu Leizietsu at Cosmos Entertainment hall.\nGracing the occasion, the young parliamentarian lauded the members of CEI, who are very prominent veteran musicians and entertainers from the district, for their sheer hard work and dedication for the promotion of good music in the society and thus making a huge impact on the music scene in the state as well.
\nHe informed that the government of Nagaland has set up the Music Task Force with an aim to promote the growth and development of music in the state.
\nKhreihu also said that the MTF will continue to support the process of music education and training at all levels to facilitate and connect the creative and economic potential within the music industry in the state.
\nHe also announced at the program that the winner of this year\u2019s edition of Rock reign will get a slot as direct entry at the Hornbill International Rock Contest, 2014. The parliamentary Secretary also handed out commendation certificates and awards to the past winners of \u201cRock Reign\u201d.
\nThe event winded off with various musicians like Wati Imchen(vocalist of Squadron), Jonathan & friends, Bendang & friends, Trans Ebullient, Soul Legacy and Ember taking the stage. Talking with one of the organizers, it was confirmed that six bands from across the state have signed up for this year edition of \u201cRock Reign\u201d till date and that the registration for intending bands is 31st August, 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
