Indeed the revelation that the A-List couple \u2013 who have children Apple, nine and seven-year-old Moses together \u2013 were ending their marriage of 10 years came as Gwyneth and Chris were enjoying an idyllic family vacation on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, according to LaineyGossip. <\/div>\n
And a source exclusively told MailOnline that Chris, 37, even bought 41-year-old Gwyneth a special gift to mark the new stage in their lives; a painting of a bird in flight by Mila F\u00fcrstov\u00e1. <\/div>\n
Explaining the decision for the pair to take off on a holiday together at this time, the source told MailOnline: \u2018Going away together may seem unusual but that\u2019s Gwyneth and Chris.<\/div>\n
\u2018Foremost they want the kids to see they mean business about remaining a family, and another… they want to miss the fallout.\u2019<\/div>\n
And the pal insists that Paltrow and Martin \u2013 who married in December 2003 in a secret ceremony in Mexico \u2013 are relieved with the decision to call time on their marriage after a strained year where they did all they could to make it work.<\/div>\n
