\nGPRN\/NSCN thought its MIP said that despite many reminders to the higher authorities to check the same the security forces were still continuing with their \u201cmisadventures\u201d.
\nMIP recalled that on July 14, the residence of dy.kilonser cum chairman (caretaker) of Chakhesang Region Kevepfolo was raided in Sovima, Dimapur. On July 20, the residence of dy. kilonser N. Sema was raided at Hoito Village, Dimapur and on July 21, the residence of Holoto, ASO (asstt. sectional officer) was raided at Unity Village 4th block, 5th Mile, Dimapur, said MIP.
\nIn almost all these incidents, not only GPRN\/NSCN members were harassed but family members and neighbours were reportedly subjected to being questioned through threat and intimidation.
\nGPRN\/NSCN alleged that Holoto\u2019s young children and a 3-month old infant were not spared of the harassment when they were woken up \u201cforcefully\u201d in the wee hours at 2:30 a.m. on the pretext of searching for arms under the beds. However, nothing was found at Holoto\u2019s residence despite the security forces using metal detectors and other digital equipments.
\nIn the light of the above incidents, GPRN\/NSCN questioned what the security forces really meant by their tag \u201cfriends of the hill people\u201d tag. MIP alleged that it is not GPRN\/NSCN that was demoralizing the \u201cinfamous tag\u201d but themselves. GPRN\/NSCN also asked if its patience was being taken for granted as weakness.
\nWith the security forces often stating that the raids were conducted after they were being informed, GPRN\/NSCN asked who these informers were.
\nPointing out that anyone caught on grounds on espionage were sternly dealt with, GPRN\/NSCN warned that these informers that their action was a direct challenge to the integrity of the GPRN and that they would be seriously dealt with.
\nGPRN\/NSCN said these informers would be charged with treason\u2019 with penalty including capital punishment for which GPRN\/NSCN would not be held responsible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
