{"id":155246,"date":"2014-07-02T01:23:52","date_gmt":"2014-07-02T01:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/07\/02\/npf-central-mkg-responds-to-mtlt\/"},"modified":"2014-07-02T01:23:52","modified_gmt":"2014-07-02T01:23:52","slug":"npf-central-mkg-responds-to-mtlt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/07\/02\/npf-central-mkg-responds-to-mtlt\/","title":{"rendered":"NPF Central (Mkg) responds to MTLT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Drawing attention to the press statement issued by the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) which had demanded an unconditional apology from Nuklutoshi minister of mechanical engineering and national highways, to the Ao community, NPF Central Office Bearers in-charge of Mokokchung Division, has issued a clarification on the \u201c actual position of the party\u201d with regard to events that took place inside the NPF Mokokchung Division Office on June 27.<br \/>\nIn a joint press statement, NPF Central office bearers in-charge of Mokokchung Division- Aolepden (vice president), Anungba Imsong (general secretary) and Nungsang Jamir (secretary) asserted that Nuklutoshi along with the Central Office bearers convened an emergency meeting with party leaders that included NPF Central Office party workers from Mokokchung Division and frontal wings on June 27 at 11 a.m. in the NPF Mokokchung Division office.<br \/>\nThey said the objective of the meeting was not only to assess the prevailing situation within NPF Mokokchung Division but also to interact with the remaining party workers to explore further necessary steps. <br \/>\nIn order to \u201cdisrupt the genuine NPF party meeting\u201d convened on the day, they said \u201c the so-called\u201d Mokokchung District NPF Forum (MDNPFF) also called a meeting at 9 a.m. in the same office.<br \/>\nAccording to the signatories, when Nuklutoshi also minister in-charge arrived for the meeting, \u201c some miscreants\u201d entered the meeting venue inside the hall and challenged the minister (Nuklutoshi) and asked him to call of the meeting. <br \/>\nWhen the minister tried to reason out and explain the purpose of the meeting, the \u201cdisgruntled group, led by Lipokmeren and Imtimongba\u201d with others attempted to \u201cphysically assault the minister\u201d by pulling down and breaking the table and hurling furniture at the minister while stones were pelted from outside. <br \/>\nThey said the minister (Nuklutoshi) reacted only to defend himself against physical harm. During the period, the SP Mokokchung, on hearing the commotion inside the hall, rushed but was also \u201charmed\u201d when rubbish bin was thrown on him while stones pelted also damaged glass panes on his vehicle. <br \/>\nLater the \u201ctrouble makers\u201d were removed without harm from the NPF office premises. Disrict administration then promulgated Section 144 CrP.C. prevent such \u201cunprovoked mischief\u201d after which the meeting proceeded, they said. <br \/>\n&nbsp;In the light of the \u201cabove mentioned faction circumstances\u201d the NPF Central Office bearers in-charge of Mokokchung Division said they firmly assert that the demand for \u201cunconditional apology to the Ao community\u2019 did not arise. Further , they reminded that as a social and apolitical body , MTLT should \u201cstay away from the activities of political parties\u201d.
