{"id":155328,"date":"2014-06-29T23:03:36","date_gmt":"2014-06-29T23:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2014\/06\/29\/thomas-assures-for-equitable-development\/"},"modified":"2014-06-29T23:03:36","modified_gmt":"2014-06-29T23:03:36","slug":"thomas-assures-for-equitable-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2014\/06\/29\/thomas-assures-for-equitable-development\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomas assures for equitable development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/ZVMKIXFDAXMRYGLXGBTO.jpg>Lakhuti Village Council has organized a thanksgiving programme in honour of former NSMDC chairman, Thomas Lotha, who was recently elevated to the post of Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development and Border Affairs in the DAN ministry.<br \/>\nAddressing the thanksgiving programme held at Lakhuti Village community hall on June 28, Thomas who represents 39 Sanis assembly constituency, has appealed for collective effort from all sections of people including village leaders and elders, church leaders, GBs and DBs, bureaucrats, students and intellectuals to bring about equitable development in the constituency.<br \/>\nAssuring to bring positive changes and speedy development in the constituency in particular, the Parliamentary Secretary stressed on the need to change the present pattern while implementing developmental projects and schemes.<br \/>\nHe said developmental projects should strictly be implemented as per the laid down guidelines of the Government of India or the state government. Towards this end, Thomas suggested setting up of a village development board comprising of representatives from all 8 khels of the village wherein the board will coordinate with the village council and GBs and DBs in implementation of state government development projects or central schemes.<br \/>\nChairman, Lakhuti Village Council, W Mhathung Humtsoe, delivered the welcome address and pastor, Lakhuti Baptist Church, Ezambemo Odyuo, led the thanksgiving prayer.<br \/>\nIndependent party chairman, Mhonthung Yanthan, chaired the thanksgiving programme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lakhuti Village Council has organized a thanksgiving programme in honour of former NSMDC chairman, Thomas Lotha, who was recently elevated to the post of Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development and Border Affairs in the DAN ministry.
