The team official also visited Yamuna floodplain, Delhi, an important agricultural-based site. In a press release, the ATMA Wokha stated that the tour has enhanced and imparted much needed knowledge towards improvised agriculture. <br \/>\nIt also expressed gratitude to the department for creating such opportunity.<br \/>\nATMA MON: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mon, Chen block inaugurated rubber farm school at Sowa Changle village May14. Programme was attended by CIG rubber farmers and G.B. of Sowa changle, farm teacher, DPD ATMA Mon, convenor and ATMs of Chen block ATMA, and SMSs of KVK Mon (Aboi).<br \/>\nATMA ZBTO: Day long training cum demonstration was organized by ATMA Zunheboto block and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Nagaland University on May 20 at Newland and Kheshepu village Tizu post. <br \/>\nAccording to specific needs of the farmers, resource person Edenly Chishi, SMS (Horticulture) discussed on the storage of seeds, fruits and vegetables after harvest where she explained on the different methods of storage&nbsp; i.e. storage in cool dry rooms especially for potato seeds, storage in pits for gingers and potato, cold storage for very perishables and zero energy cool chamber, a very low cost storage for fruits and vegetables which can be used preferably from October to May in North Eastern regions. While another resource person, Sentimenla Jamir SMS (Soil Science) spoke on importance of bio-fertilizer which is the only alternate for improving soil fertility.<br \/>\nIn practical session, Edenly Chishi demonstrated on construction of small unit zero energy cool chamber and Sentimenla on seed treatment with bio-fertilizers. Bio-fertilizers were distributed to the 20 farmers who attended the programme. <br \/>\nATMA PEREN: Mandarin Orange Farm School at Lemangki under ATMA, Peren Block was inaugurated May 21 along with SDO Civil Peren Albert Ezung as resource person. <br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion Albert Ezung encouraged the farmers to make use of the opportunities made available to them by Agri and allied departments and to increase their production for sustainability. Later, training on insect pest and disease was imparted to the participants by convener ATMA Peren. The activities of ATMA, concept of farm school and role of farm school teacher were highlighted by BTM Dietholhou Rhakho BTM.
