Parliamentary Secretary for Land Resources, B.S. Nganlang inaugurated a newly recognized village, Yungja, under Longleng district, June 13 last.\nSpeaking at the inaugural function as chief guest, parliamentary secretary Nganlang said establishing a new village was a sign of new thoughts and modern living and urged upon the people of the village to maintain peace and tranquility.
\nDeputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng, K. Libanthung Lotha, who was the guest of honour, also spoke on the occasion. Short speeches were also delivered by Phom People Council (PPC) president Leisha, village council chairman of Tangha and Yongshei.
\nOther highlights of the function included special number and cultural dance by male and female group.
\nThe inaugural programme was chaired by P. Shaht\u00fcng and Yongshei Baptist Church Pastor invoke God\u2019s blessing. Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the monolith while dedicatory prayer was pronounced by V. Longpang.
\nYongshei GMS inaugurated
\nParliamentary secretary for land resources B.S. Nganlang also inaugurated one of the oldest government primary schools (GPS), which was upgraded to GMS, at Yongshei village under Longleng district June 13. In his address, B.S. Nganlang described the day as \u201chistoric\u201d for Yongshei village as their long cherished dream became reality.
